I always spend more of my time at the grocery store in the fresh produce section, paying special attention to the fruit offered. The last few weeks, I have found beautiful strawberries! In addition to using these strawberries for smoothies, they also dress up a salad. Spring is (I hope) here, and it is time to change your palette !
Switch from hearty and rich soups to refreshing and sweet salads! Take advantage of the fresh spring produce and add these to your warm weather menu!
Ingredients – Serves-1
Prep time: 10 minutes
Cook time: None
2 handfuls of romaine lettuce
4 large strawberries, chopped
Sliced almonds
2 tablespoons poppyseed dressing, or to taste
Directions
Wash romaine lettuce. Add in strawberries and almonds into salad and mix well.
Toss in dressing.
